Community Event - The Honda Snowy Ride
Date: Saturday 7th November
Location: Adaminaby / Dalgety / Berridale / Jindabyne / Cooma / Bombala / Charlotte Pass / Thredbo
Summary: The Snowy Ride is a motorcycle event run annually in the Alpine Region of NSW since 2001 and has helped the Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation (SWCCF) raise in excess of $8 million for research into a cure for childhood cancer.
Community Event - Cannonball MTB Festival
Date: 9th to 13th December 2021
Summary: Australia’s biggest gravity inspired mountain bike festival returns in 2020 setting the standard for mountain bike competition with a huge line-up of supreme events and non-stop entertainment all weekend long.
Community Event - Christmas Eve Carols
Date: 24th December 2020
Summary: From 6pm Thredbo will be filled with the sound of Christmas carols as the local community turns out for Christmas songs and cheer. Pick up a carol book by gold coin donation (all proceeds go to the Thredbo Early Childhood Centre).

Community Event - Jindabyne Man from Snowy River Rodeo
Date: 28th December
Summary: The annual Man From Snowy River Rodeo event has been running since 1943, originally in Old Jindabyne and now at John Connors Oval, Park Road, Jindabyne Sports Ground. Action includes Open and Novice Bulls, Saddle Bronc, Bareback Horses, Poley Buck Jump, Ladies Barrel Race, Junior Steer ride and Junior Barrel Races. There is also a Ladies Steer Ride for 18 years and over competitors - helmets and vests are required.
Community Event - Snowies MTB Festival, Crackenback
Date: 5th to 7th February 2020
Summary: The Snowies MTB Festival is back in 2021 with the iconic Snowy Mountains playing host to the one of Australia’s most iconic MTB stage races. 2021 will include 5 distinctly unique stages with two course options on offer including the 75k Brumby and 114k Wild Brumby. And, what everyone has been raving about from 2020, The Wild Brumby will include the all new Snowy Legends Descent from the top of Thredbo to Gaden in Jindabyne including the epic Lower Thredbo Valley Track (TVT).

Community Event - Trex Snowy Mountains

Summary: Based at beautiful Lake Crackenback Resort and Spa... this course includes some of the best fast, flowing single track mountain biking, and gritty off road running found anywhere in Australia and includes a standard, sprint, junior, dirt kids, duathlon and aquabike courses.
Community Event - Snowies Trail Run Festival
Date: 21st to 27th February 2021
Location: Lake Crackenback Resort
Summary: The Snowies Trail Run Festival is hosted in conjunction with TreX Cross Triathlon, which together make up an action packed weekend of off road action for the entire family. Taking in some of the most spectacular alpine mountain scenery this trail run festival is back after a sell out field in previous years. Based at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa, the course follows the awe inspiring Thredbo Valley which undulates and climbs alongside the Thredbo River within Australia’s iconic Kosciuszko National Park, and there are courses for all comers including the Ultra, Half Marathon, 11k, 5k and FREE kids events.
Community Event - Australian Alpine Ascent (AAA) Ultra Festival
Date: 6th March 2021
Location: Starts in Charlotte Pass Village
Summary: The Australian Alpine Ascent (AAA) Ultra Festival is specifically designed to be one of the world’s most gruelling challenges. The festival includes two trail runs - 25 kilometres and 50 kilometres. You’ll cross through the scenic Kosciuszko National Park, with a stunning start and finish at Charlotte Pass Village; it’s brutal, but it’s beautiful and the courses have been designed to showcase the very best of the Snowy Mountains along the way.
